ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The roles and responsibilities of EngenderHealth and DRMH are listed below as follows: EngenderHealth will be responsible for the following:
- Overall management of the consultancy
- Secure available HIUD training packages in the country from stakeholders including from DRMH involved in strengthening the capacities of health workers to increase access to HIUD
- Administrative and logistical support to the consultant for activities related to this assignment
- Quality assurance for products and services provided under this assignment to counterparts through internal review mechanism as well as other QA activities
- Facilitating effective communication between the consultant and DRMH
- Financial support for hosting workshops and events related to this assignment
- Where necessary seeking for solutions to address challenges and issues that may impede the implementation of the assignment
The DRMH will be responsible for the following:
- As the owners of the HIUD orientation package, providing leadership and guidance on expected deliverable
- Review of the products from the consultancy and provision of timely feedback
- Providing approval of reports and other deliverables related to this assignment
- Leading the organization and co-hosting of HIUD orientation package development workshops and events outlined in this assignment (includes determination of invitees, program/agenda development, and co-facilitation- as the lead
- Where applicable, certification of attendees and provision of CME accreditation for all attendees
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate for this assignment should have the following attributes:
- Public health specialist with an advanced degree in public health, advanced postgraduate diploma/BSC/MSc. in nursing or midwifery, medical doctor/specialist preferably a postgraduate degree in obstetrics/gynaecology or related field.
- Previous experience in undertaking similar assignments related to the development of family planning/reproductive health in-service training curriculum and related resources.
- Experience in working with the public sector
- Good writing skills
